What We Collect
Nothing — from normal browsing
Reading articles, searching, filtering, and browsing AIBytes requires no account and no personal data. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts beyond basic server access logs (IP address, URL, timestamp) which are used only for diagnosing technical issues and are not retained long-term.
Article submissions
If you submit an article via the Submit page, we collect the URL, title, category, description, and any optional name you provide. This information is used solely to review and potentially publish the article. We don't use it for marketing or share it with third parties.
Ad inquiries
If you fill out the Advertise inquiry form, we collect your name, email, company, and message. This is used only to respond to your inquiry.
Local browser storage
We use localStorage in your browser to remember articles you've voted on, so you don't accidentally double-vote. This data never leaves your device.
What We Don't Do
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties
- We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking
- We do not serve behaviorally targeted ads
- We do not require account registration
- We do not send marketing emails
- We do not use fingerprinting or cross-site tracking
Third-Party Content
AIBytes links to articles published on external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external site you visit.
We use Google Fonts (IBM Plex) served via Google's CDN. This means your browser makes a request to Google's servers to load fonts, which may involve Google recording your IP address. You can block this by using a browser extension like uBlock Origin.
Sponsored Content
Some articles in our feed are marked with a "SPONSORED" badge. Sponsored content is clearly labeled at all times. Advertisers do not receive your personal data as part of any sponsorship arrangement.
Data Retention
Server access logs are retained for no more than 30 days and are used only for technical diagnostics. Submission form data is retained for up to 90 days, after which it is deleted.
Your Rights
You have the right to request deletion of any data you've submitted to us (article submissions, ad inquiries). Contact us at the address below and we will process your request within 14 days.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of AIBytes after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
